Those Veterans At a Parade
December 11th 2011 - 3:13 pm
It seems that every parade there are always a large number of veterans in attendance. Maybe the reason why, is because a lot of our parades are in celebration of our national holidays, and about national pride. Who better to be in attendance to show national pride than military service members. Seeing these veterans standing proud in their uniform with all their miliary medals sends out a message of patriotic outlooks but it seems some people dont understand the meaning behind these heroes. When we see these war heroes in parades they are representing the freedoms that we have today. They are the reason that we can live the lives we do in america and thats why we need to be thankful for our soldiers everyday. Maybe even go out of our way to talk to war veterans, and hear their stories. Parades are a great way to get the people of the community to join in together to celebrate our freedom and national pride. I personally believe in showing complete respect and pride toward those war heroes but it seems that sometimes they go completely unnoticed or even shunned or ignored. On days such as Vieterans and Memorial Day our military service members are more recognized but they should be recognized everyday. We should be thankful for what they have done for this nation and show it everyday. Not many people in our country are courageous enough to go and fight to our freedoms. So the men and women out there fighting overseas are the real heroes and we should show how proud of a nation we are without having to wait for a holiday to remind us of our pride. They are our there right now fighting for all americans, they fight for us everyday so shouldnt we be thankful for them everyday? Our pride goes toward the war veterans and current military service members, but it should also go out to those people who have died for us in the past. Every bit of pride and patriotism that we can show makes all the differents. So stand up and support those soldiers wearing their military medals amd ribbons whenever you can, show that you are thankful everyday. If more United States citezens would take the time to honor our servicer mrmbers we would have a healthier respect of what it takes to have the freedoms that we have. So when you see a soldier in his dress uniform wearing his military ribbons and military medals know that he has sacrificed for you.
